Gladys was often photographed with daughter Joan, and son, John. The children appeared on many postcards on their own and a few with their father, Gladys's first husband, Captain Herbert Buckmaster. Her second daughter, Sally, from her marriage to Sir Neville Pearson, is sometimes found on postcards. Her third husband was Philip Merivale, an English actor.
