The beautiful Australian stage and film actress Marie Löhr was born in Sydney in 1890. Her first role was aged 4 in Australia. Her family moved to England and aged 11 she began acting on the English stage. Her stage career spanned the first quarter of the twentieth century until the 1930s when she began appearing in films many produced during the 1940s. She remained a popular actress throughout. Aged 84 she died in 1975 |
