It was produced by Burgess and Leigh Ltd of Burslem and carries the bee-hive backstamp which was introduced by the company circa 1940 for the Burleigh Ware products. The main face shows the portrait of the Queen surrounded by a laurel garland with a crown to the top and a short commemoration printed below. The opposite face has the Queen's monogram with crown. The top edge of the cup has a metallic gold band which has light ware. There is also an internal gold band which is very good. The handle has gold flashing again with minimal ware. The cup has light crazing generally but otherwise is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Please see all photographs as they form part of this description.
