Diameter of saucer - 4.25 inches (11 cms)

This small commemorative cup and saucer set was produced to celebrate the Silver Jubilee Anniversary of the reign of King George V and Queen Mary in 1935. The main face shows the two portraits with flags, the scales of justice and a sailing ship and the commemoration is printed above and below. The opposite face shows two crossed flags with a crown. The top edge has a metallic silver rim and there is silver flashing down the handle. The saucer copies the two designs on the cup and there is also a metallic silver edging. The cup and saucer are in good condition with no chips or cracks and there is only minimal crazing.
