Produced by - unknown maker Height - 3 inches (7.5cms) Diameter - 3.25 inches (8 cms) This biscuit coloured commemorative cup was produced to celebrate the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911 and was presented to citizens of Edinburgh. The main face shows the two portraits with national flowers and the commemoration printed below. The opposite face shows a further commemoration with the name of the Right Hon. William S. Brown Lord Provost of Edinburgh at that time. Below the top edge is a gold band and there is another near the base. The mug has a small crack to the base and two very small cracks at the top edge towards the front and there is also general crazing. However, the mug is a small part of the social history of Edinburgh and in very good condition for its 100 years of age. Please see all photographs as they form part of this description.
